Intoduction to Riyadh Second Health Cluster

Riyadh Second Health Cluster provides a broad spectrum of healthcare delivery at all levels which makes it well suited in delivering a wide range of training. R2 consists of a specialized medical city (King Fahd Medical City), 9 hospitals, 3 dental medical centers and kidney diseases medical center, and 107 primary healthcare centers covering the Eastern and Northern areas of Riyadh Region. Training is provided at all entities of R2 for all health specialties and other non-health specialties. R2 has strong relations with many academic entities and national authorities to establish special training programs based on the needs in the local market.

Riyadh Second Health Cluster provides a wide range of medical services that include primary, secondary and tertary services through more than 100 sites distributed over a large geographic area. Therefore, we provide a broad spectrum of training opportunities that includes, long term programs, short term courses, online courses, simulation programs, life support programs, other professional development courses and programs.

Our Associate Executive Administrations

Training is managed through three associate executive administrations in addition to the academic operations administration. The Associate Executive Administration of Academic Studies is responsible for the management of all postgraduate programs in all health specialties. In addition, it manages scholarships, family medicine academy, dental academy and nursing academy. The Associate Executive Administration of Professional Development and Simulation is responsible for conferences, symposia, workshops and other professional development activities. It also regulates certificate programs, simulation programs for all specialties as well as life support courses and programs. The associate executive administration of the Learning Institute support educational / training quality, manages online education, educational collaboration with universities as well as supporting training through health sciences library, English Language Center, educational consultation and faculty training. Academic operations Administration, in collaboration with the VP – ATA office and other associate executive administrations is responsible for managing academic operations at all R2 entities.
