7/10/2025 The Academy of Dentistry is proud to have organized the distinguished "Power of Research" event, held today with the participation of trainees from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties programs, alongside a select group of consultants and specialists from the Second Riyadh Health Cluster.  The event featured impactful and outstanding research presentations, reflecting the growing awareness of and interest in scientific research in the field of dentistry. A team from the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), in collaboration with the Academy, participated in evaluating the poster presentations, adding an international scientific dimension to the event and enhancing the quality and standards of the evaluation process. The day also included high-quality scientific lectures delivered by a number of distinguished speakers, with active participation from the Research Center at King Fahd Medical City. This scientific collaboration reflects the integration of research, training, and knowledge enrichment. This event underscores the Academy's commitment to supporting and developing the scientific research skills of its trainees and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the dental community.

18-10-2025 The Dental Academy – Riyadh Second Health Cluster held two training workshops today, Saturday, as part of its series of professional certification programs in dentistry: 🔹 Orthodontics: Cephalometric Tracing and Analysis 📍 At King Fahd Medical City 🔹 Complete Denture: Setting of the Upper and Lower Anterior Teeth 📍 At the Riyadh Dental Simulation Lab, King Fahd Medical City These workshops are a continuation of the Academy's efforts to develop the clinical and practical skills of dentists and enhance their competencies in applying the latest scientific methods, under the supervision of a select group of specialized national and academic experts.

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, the Dental Academy – Riyadh Health Cluster II held a workshop entitled “Diagnosis & Treatment Planning + OSCE”, as part of the series of professional certification programs in dentistry. The workshop aimed to develop the participants’ skills in diagnosing root canal treatment cases and developing appropriate treatment plans, according to the latest clinical standards and practical assessment methods (OSCE).

1/10/2025 Family Medicine Academy Celebrates the Start of the New Academic Year The Family Medicine Academy celebrated the beginning of the new academic year in the presence of primary healthcare leaders in the health cluster, training officials, and resident physicians in the various training programs affiliated with the Academy. *A Promising Beginning* The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem, which renewed feelings of belonging and loyalty and affirmed the commitment to serving the nation and improving community health. *Arrival of the Tenth Cohort* The ceremony included the announcement of the tenth cohort of trainees since the Academy's establishment, confirming its leading role in developing national competencies and creating stories of excellence and success. *A Cornerstone of Primary Healthcare* The Academy affirmed that family medicine represents the beating heart of primary healthcare and one of the most important pillars for achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 towards a healthy society that enjoys a high quality of life. *Pride in the Promising Generation* The ceremony concluded with an emphasis on the Academy's pride in the generation of resident physicians, who carry the message of health with passion, to become future leaders and innovators. 📹 The ceremony also included a presentation of excerpts and an inspiring video documenting this occasion.

First accreditation for a Professional Certificate Program in Patient Safety at the Kingdom level

In collaboration with Health Academy under the Saudi Commission for Health Specialty Riyadh Second Health Cluster is proud to graduate the 11th batch from the Health Care Assistant program.  Forty six graduates will enroll in the healthcare system in an effort to work toward the Healthcare transformation program in Saudi vision 2030. Health Training Administration under Academic and Training Affairs is very active in collaborating with the Health Academy to support the Healthcare demand for specialized healthcare professionals.  it graduated 7 batches in the Dental Assistant, 4 batches in Clinical Coding, 1 batch in Ambulatory Medical Technician, 1 batch in Disaster Management Plan Technician and 1 batch in Orthopedic Technician.

28/09/2025 With God's grace and in cooperation with the Sign Language Interpreters Association, the first training course for licensing sign language interpreters has been launched.  This course aims to train 150 employees from all components of the Second Riyadh Health Cluster, in addition to creating 33 certified trainers to ensure the continuity of providing this valuable service to the deaf and hard of hearing community.

September 28, 2025 The Academy of Dentistry is proud to host a workshop today as part of its series of professional certification workshops in dentistry. This particular workshop focuses on orthodontics and is being held at the Riyadh Dental Simulation Lab – Riyadh Second Health Cluster. This workshop is the first in a series of accredited training workshops for professional certifications, which aim to enhance the skills of healthcare practitioners and improve practical training in an advanced simulation environment that closely replicates the clinical setting.

November 7, 2025, two training workshops were held as part of the Professional Dental Certification Program series organized by the Dental Academy – Riyadh Health Cluster II. The workshops covered two key areas in pediatric dentistry: 1. Methods of Professional Fluoride Application: This workshop aimed to train healthcare practitioners on the latest preventive fluoride application techniques and clinical methods used to reduce tooth decay. 2. Techniques of Fissure Sealant Application: This workshop focused on hands-on training in the application of fissure sealants, adhering to international best practices for protecting teeth from early decay. These two workshops are considered important training programs that contribute to enhancing the competence of dentists and strengthening their clinical skills in the prevention and early treatment of tooth decay in children, through the direct practical application of the latest internationally recognized preventive techniques.

King Fahad Medical City was re-accredited by the American Council for Continuing Medical Education until November 30, 2028. This effort from the Associate Executive Administration of Continuous Medical Edcaution and Simulation to provide a high quality education programs to the medical field.

October 12, 2025 Riyadh Health Cluster 2 Begins Training Programs for 420 Male and Female Trainees in Postgraduate Programs Accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties The Executive Administration for Academic Affairs and Training at Riyadh Health Cluster 2 held an orientation program for newly enrolled trainees in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties-accredited programs at the training center within Riyadh Health Cluster 2. This year's program targeted 420 male and female trainees enrolled in residency and diploma programs across various health specialties.  The program was attended by the cluster's leadership and a number of training faculty members, and was held in the main hall at King Fahd Medical City. The program aims to facilitate the trainees' integration into the work and training environment within the cluster's facilities, familiarize them with training policies and regulations, and introduce them to the available academic and administrative support mechanisms.  It also provided an overview of quality and safety programs, digital transformation initiatives, and the educational and training services offered by the Executive Administration for Academic Affairs. This initiative is part of Riyadh Health Cluster 2's efforts to support and qualify national cadres according to the professional accreditation standards approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and to enhance the clinical training environment in 47 specialized programs, including residency and diploma programs in the hospitals and centers affiliated with the cluster. Riyadh Health Cluster 2 places special emphasis on empowering trainees and developing their academic and professional skills, thereby contributing to improving the quality of healthcare services provided and achieving the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030, through investing in human capital and enhancing the outcomes of health training.

King Fahad Medical City obtain the accreditation of Saudi Trauma Life Support Provider Course from the Saudi Heart Association

October 25, 2025 The Sports First Responder course has successfully concluded, in collaboration between the Academy of Sports Medicine and the Saudi Federation of Sports Medicine. The course lasted two days and included comprehensive practical and applied modules, including: Rapid response to cardiac arrest and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) according to SHA protocols Assessment of on-field sports injuries using the TOTAPS model Management of head injuries and concussions on the field Splinting fractures, controlling bleeding, and safe transportation of the injured Identifying performance-enhancing drugs and the procedures for handling suspected cases according to WADA standards Organizing the medical team's kit and managing the sports field during competitions The course was presented by the CEO of the Saudi Federation of Sports Medicine, as well as fellowship physicians in sports medicine from the Second Riyadh Health Cluster, who contributed their expertise to enrich the practical aspects for the participants.

2/11/2025 The Women's Health in Sports course has successfully concluded. The course lasted for two days and included comprehensive theoretical and practical modules, including: Assessing the fitness level and physical readiness of female football players during the pre-season period. Identifying and treating common sports injuries professionally. Developing a recovery and rehabilitation program for professional athletes. The course was presented by the medical team of the Saudi Arabian women's national football team and a select group of international and local experts specializing in sports medicine.
